Founded by current and former professional baseball players as a nonprofit to increase access and participation in the sport, The Players Alliance announced that sports industry veteran Dr. Jamil Northcutt has been hired as Executive Director & CEO. Dr. Northcutt. He stepped into the role in May.

BAT 2 School is launching in 10 cities across the United States, including Atlanta (GA), Cleveland (OH), Columbus (GA), Detroit (MI), Jackson (MS), Kansas City (MO), Memphis (TN), Montgomery (AL), Nashville (TN), New Orleans (LA) and towns throughout the Mississippi Delta.
